Every Diecast Masters Cat® RC model is officially licensed and drives, digs or lifts like the real machine. The difference between them is size, features and price. Here is how we help customers choose.
1:64 — desk-sized, pocket-priced
About the length of your hand (9 to 11 cm). Full radio control, ages 3+, and the cheapest way to own a moving Cat machine. Great as a first RC, a gift or a desk toy for an operator. Battery details are on the box.
1:35 — the sweet spot for kids and first buyers
Roughly 24–30 cm long, 25 m range, 3×AA in the machine plus 2×AAA in the remote (not included). It drives on its tracks or wheels and works its arm, blade, bucket or dump body from the remote. This is the scale we recommend for ages 8+ and for anyone who wants real play value without a premium budget.
1:24 — the big one, rechargeable
33 to 49 cm long with a 35 m range. The four premium models (336 excavator, D7E dozer, 950M loader, 745 articulated truck) come with a rechargeable 500 mAh lithium pack — about 40 minutes of driving — plus 2×AAA for the remote, lights, sounds and an auto-demo mode. Independent boom, arm and bucket on the excavator, working blade on the dozer, tipping body on the trucks. The 770 mining truck runs on 5×AA (not included) with a 25 m range. The best balance of realism and price for collectors and older kids.
1:20 — the showcase model
Over half a metre of die-cast Cat® 330D L, with boom, stick, bucket, 360° swing and tracks each on their own channel, and a sound package that follows every movement. A display piece that also drives. Buy it if you already own a smaller scale and want the centrepiece.
