Refund policy

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Customers in New Zealand have equivalent rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Nothing on this page limits those rights.

Faulty or damaged on arrival

Cat® RC models and keyrings: we replace the item or refund it, and we cover the return postage.
Brick sets: missing, broken or wrong pieces are replaced free of charge. Tell us the set number, the piece number from the instruction booklet, and the bag it came from.

Manufacturing faults — 12-month warranty

Cat® radio-control models made by Diecast Masters are covered against manufacturing faults for 12 months from delivery. A machine that will not pair, will not drive, or has a dead function: send us a photo or a short video, we troubleshoot with you, then send the spare part or replace the machine.

Not covered: impact damage, water, fine sand in the gears, batteries other than those supplied, modifications, and normal wear of tracks and tyres. Rechargeable batteries lose capacity over time; that is normal wear, not a fault.

Changed your mind

Return an unopened, unused item in its original sealed packaging within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. Return postage for change-of-mind returns is at your cost, and the parcel must reach us in resaleable condition. Opened brick sets cannot be returned for change of mind.

How to start a return

Contact us with your order number and, where relevant, photos. We reply within one business day with the next step. Please do not send anything back before you have heard from us.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of us receiving and inspecting the returned item — or immediately, in the case of a faulty item we do not need returned. Your bank or card issuer may take a few extra days to show the money in your account.
