A radio-controlled machine has motors, gears, a battery and a radio link. Things can occasionally go wrong, and when they do you should not be left on your own. This page explains exactly what we do and how.
30-day returns — satisfied or refunded
Not happy with what arrived? Send it back within 30 days of delivery and we refund the purchase price in full. The item must be complete and in its original packaging; opened brick sets cannot be returned for change of mind, for obvious reasons. Return postage for a change of mind is at your cost. Write to us first with your order number and we reply within one business day with the return address and the next step — please do not send anything back before you have heard from us.
Faulty or damaged on arrival
Write to us within 7 days of delivery with a photo or a 20-second video of the problem. A machine that will not pair, will not drive or has a dead function: most issues are solved in one exchange (pairing sequence, battery, charger). If a part is faulty we send the replacement part; if the machine cannot reasonably be repaired we replace it or refund it, and we cover the return postage.
Brick sets: missing or damaged pieces
Every Mould King and Reobrix set is counted at the factory, but a missing or damaged piece can happen in a box of several thousand. We replace missing, broken or wrong pieces free of charge. Send us the set number, the piece number from the instruction booklet and the bag it came from. A motor, battery box or remote control that does not work out of the box is replaced the same way.
Spare parts
Batteries, chargers, remote controls and small parts for the Cat® RC range can be ordered through us, subject to availability from Diecast Masters. Contact us with your model number.
What we cannot cover
Water, sand and drops from a table are the three most common reasons a machine stops — and they are not faults. Damage from impacts, water or fine sand in the gears, batteries other than the ones supplied, modifications, and normal wear of tracks and tyres are not covered. Rechargeable batteries lose capacity over time; that is normal wear.
Keep it running
Play on firm ground, not in dry fine sand or salt water. Charge with the supplied cable only, and remove or unplug the battery when the machine is stored for more than a few weeks. Let a wet machine dry completely before switching it on. A few minutes of care doubles the life of an RC model.
Your rights
Our 30-day returns are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded: a product with a manufacturing fault is repaired, replaced or refunded whatever the date, so if a fault appears after 30 days, contact us anyway. See our Returns & Refunds page for the full policy and our FAQ for batteries, ages and scales.
