Why we started
Western Australia runs on iron ore, gold and the machines that move them. The people who drive them, fix them or grow up watching them deserve models that look like the real thing and actually work — not the generic toys you find at the supermarket. That is the whole idea behind MiningToy.
MiningToy is a small Perth business with one idea behind it: the machines that build and mine this country deserve better toys than the ones you find at the supermarket.
We sell two kinds of things. Officially licensed Caterpillar radio-control models made by Diecast Masters — the 1:64 pocket fleet, the 1:35 and 1:24 ranges, and the big die-cast 1:20 excavator that collectors put on a shelf and then can't resist driving. And brick building sets from Mould King and Reobrix — motorised cranes, excavators, loaders and trucks in one to eight thousand pieces, the weekend projects that end with something that actually moves.
Shipping is free on every order, to anywhere in Australia and New Zealand, with no minimum spend. The CAT range is stocked here in Western Australia and ships from Perth with Australia Post. The brick sets ship from our partner warehouse and take a little longer — we say so on every page rather than in the small print.
Every product page shows the real model from several angles, with its exact dimensions in the Specifications table, so what arrives is what you saw. If something is wrong with what arrives, we fix it.
